DISKCOMP

Compares contents of two floppy disks.

Syntax:

DISKCOMP [Drive1: [Drive2:]]

Drive1 – drive with the first floppy disk.

Drive2 – drive with the second floppy disk.

Usage:

Without parameters, DISKCOMP uses current drive to compare the both disks.

You cannot use DISKCOMP for any other drive types except floppies.

DISKCOMP compares only diskettes of the same type.

DISKCOMP doesn’t support network or virtual drives.

Exit codes: 0 – disks are same, 1 – differences found, 2 – hard error, 3 – initialization error.

If you use the same drive for both disks, DISKCOMP will ask you to change the disk when needed.
