PRINT

Sends text file(s) to a printer.

Syntax:

PRINT [/d:PrinterName] [Drive:][Path]FileName[ ...]

/d:PrinterName – specifies the printing device. PrinterName can be the name of the port for local printer or name of the remote printer.

[Drive:][Path]FileName – location of the file to be printed (multiple files allowed).

Usage:

Valid values of PrinterName for local printer are LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, PRN. If you omit this parameter, the printing job will be send to PRN (LPT1 and PRN are the same values).

Examples:

For local printer:

PRINT /d:LTP2 c:\example.txt

For remote printer:

PRINT /d:\\accounting\hp-prn c:\example2.txt
