SHIFT

Changes the positions of the batch file parameters.

Syntax:

SHIFT [/n N]

/n N – specifies the Nth argument of the batch file to be shifted. N can be from 0 to 8.

Usage:

SHIFT command copies a parameter value into the previous parameter, that is 1st to 0th, etc. /n option makes SHIFT start shifting from Nth argument: for example, for N=3, it will shift 3rd parameter to 2nd, 4th to 3rd and so on.

You cannot move parameters inversely after shifting them.
